ANODIZE
Need a finish to hide finger prints, smudges, and dirt? Consider anodize! It’s the perfect option to hide daily use. Provides abrasion resistance and can be readily dyed to many colors and sealed with nickel acetate, dichromate or water. Additionally, anodize provides an excellent base for primers, bonding agents and organic coatings. As an industry staple for years, brite dip anodize gives aluminum a glossy, reflective shine that stands up to daily use and maintains a bright surface.

ANODIZE HARD COAT FEATURES:
- Provides extreme abrasion resistance in coatings having .0005" to .002" thickness.

CHROMIC ANODIZING FEATURES:
- Utilizing a chromic acid electrolyte this form of anodizing yields the thinnest coatings, only .05 to .1.
- Good choice when a part is complex & difficult to rinse.
- Reduces the fatigue strength of the aluminum.
COLORS FEATURES:
- Surtronics offers black, red, blue, green, purple, and gold. Please call for accurate descriptions and color comparisons.
- Coloring of an anodized surface may be achieved by absorbing dyes of any color into the open pores of the anodized coating before they are closed by sealing which is part of the normal anodize process.
- Some dyes provide a permanent fade resistant color for long lasting outdoor exposure in architectural applications.
- Others provide an attractive sales-enhancing decoration for consumer products for indoor use.
